Dental Emergency

In order to better serve the population of Châteauguay and its surroundings, we would like to introduce you to our improved emergency dental service. Dentists are available to answer your questions or to treat emergencies in case of accidents and dental pain.

There’s no more need to search to find what dentist is available. You only have one number to call to reach a dentist 24 hours a day seven days a week: 450-691-3131 A group of dentists take turns to be on-call.

Most common situations:

Dental decay (cavity): Don’t wait! A small cavity can progress fairly quickly to reach the nerve and cause an abscess.

Loss of a tooth following a trauma: Place the tooth in a glass of milk and call us as quickly as possible.

Tooth fracture: Call us as soon as possible.
For temporary relief you can place sugarless gum in the hole left by the lost filling.

Lost filling: Call us for an appointment. Don't wait for decay to creep into the hole as it can progress very rapidly.

Ulcer: Rinse your mouth with salt water. Any ulcer that does not heal within three weeks should be examined by your dentist.

Dental abscess: A dental abscess can be seen clinically as a bump or swelling in front of the problem tooth. An abscess can become very dangerous and requires immediate attention. Call our emergency service immediately.

Note: Aspirin is meant to be swallowed. Never place aspirin in a tooth or on the gums. This will not help to reduce your pain and may cause burns to your gums.
